    Pretty much there was some celtic people and where ever the romans went the celtics got whiped out, and that is why the irish love theme so much for the lacked romans.

    Hey what it is kinda true, stupid 1066 and the damn Normans, my friend was 1/4th norman so i cutt away 1/4th of his body.

    The Normans were awesome. They owned Sicily,part of France, and England at the same time.

    They did have viking troops as well, which is awesome giving to the fact that i like vikings (lol quick fact the Byzantine guards where vikings) anyways i just find 1066 amazing with history cause there are so many what ifs that could be talked about right there


    oh other nations i hate alot, those stupid tiny HRE nations.

    I love how the Battle of Hastings was 5 days after Harold had just beat Viking king Hardrada.

    The battle of Hasting was fun, i should know i got struck by an arrow when i was there and dan carlin has a very good podcast about my battles there.

    Ya the battle could've gone either way for a while.
    King Harold would've been a hero of the Anglo-Saxons if he managed to beat BOTH invaders.

    I don't really like the what ifs of if he had won though, I always wondered what would've happened if the Norwegian Vikings won.

    They would have eventually left again or been beaten by the Normans who probably would have invaded anyways. Also, remember Vikings once owned much of modern day England until Alfred the Great came along.
