Ya, I remember playing as Germany once and crushing Russia with mah Austrian pals. The Ottomans, to spite being of decent power in my alliance and not having to fight the British/French, couldn't get past the Georgian area. I even cut off the Russian Supply lines (surrounded Moscow/took Petrograd) and they barely made any progress. If your wondering how it all ended, I got an independent Finland, all the Baltic States, Poland, that Crimean area, and some of Belarus. Austria-Hungary got pretty much Ukraine. The Ottomans got about 5 provinces for their incompetence. I left the USSR after the peace deal and it fell apart.

It would be cool to see how an LP of Italy would play out because it would focus on Africa as well as Europe

I would like to see Stalin play as the Germans or the Italians. He could send most of his troops and quickly smash through to Paris and make them demand peace. Then concentrate most of his efforts on Russia. Great Britain won't do anything, other than kick your ass with it's navy. I did a play through once with the Soviet Union. For some reason the United States of America turned Stalinist, i couldn't stop laughing. No one has seem not to mention the Brits.
