I would happily donate money to a private charity. Too much of tax money does not go towards charitable services, unfortunately.

Fun fact: those on the economic right are more likely do give their time and money to charity than those on the left.

Probably because charity is a private institution while most leftists see it as a government issue.

Personally I would rather spend money trying to get the government to do something and keep doing it then giving it to private charity.

A leftist would rather hawk up a little in taxes for the safety nets that render charity unnecessary.
