The belief that if you break the law you’ll be arrested? There’s plenty of good beliefs out there, pretty much any belief that is backed by evidence and rational thinking is good. It’s the irrational dogmatic beliefs that are the problem.

Okay, thanks for pointing that out to me. But to be honest i still don't fully understand your logic for islam. You're blaming the whole religion for the violent interpretation that a group of people have of it, right?
And on the basis that it can be interpreted as violent, you are against it?

So basically what i'm asking is this: Are you against almost every ideology or belief, because it can be interpreted as violent? Buddhism has elements that can be interpreted as violent, communism does, even capitalism if people start getting up in arms about it. The list of beliefs that [IMG] be interpreted as violent is nearly endless.
And there will always be people out there that interpret it in a violent way, or use it to seek their own ends through violent means. I've seen that you've acknowledged that it is not only islam that can be interpreted as violent, but what i'm saying is that nearly everything can. Again, if i have misunderstood, please correct me.

Communism and capitalism are political ideologies. Political ideologies have a legitimate purpose, that being how to properly run a society. However, like religions, political ideologies aren’t all equally interpretable in their potential for justifying violence. It could be argued that Nazism justifies violence more than Socialism, just like I argue that Islam justifies violence more than Jainism.

But isn't it arguable that religious ideologies serve a purpose? It is true that they have been the cause of much violence, but they have also been the cause of much peace. And i'm not arguing whether or not Islam justifies violence more than jainism. I am saying that political ideologies can be interpreted, just as much as religious ideologies can, as promoting and justifying violence. So i don't understand how you're argument that because islam has some beliefs that can be interpreted as promoting violence, it does promote violence. That's what i am trying to understand: what your argument really is.
