    In relation to the topic name, though, of course the war on drugs is pointless. Bill Hicks summed it up quite well, saying that the drug users must be pretty smart if they're winning the war and fucked up.

    And, drugs are commodities to some groups (Taliban) which gives them shit loads of money which they use mostly on mortars and explosives, since AK's and 7.62 rounds for the AK's costs so little.

    They DO get funded.

    They DO NOT grow opium, farmers do, they are the enforcers, and they make sure Opium gets from the farmers to the government and then they get a paycheque... not literally a paycheque, they get their Shekels, is what I'm saying. cause.. you know... they're not a "financial" country
