    Here's a query, under current US law people convicted of possession of child pornography face steeper legal ramifications then those convicted of child molestation. It's 10 years per photo and that's stack-able (for instance someone found with 20 photos will get 200 years), whereas child molestation charges vary from state to state, but in some cases don't even require jail time for first time offenses, and are rarely longer sentences then the 10 years for even one photo.

    Is this seemingly unbalanced (sorry for the question bias) policy between punishment for child molesters and child pornography viewers justified? Also bearing in mind most cases of child pornography don't involve children per say, but minors. The vast majority of internet cases in the US, for example, involve individuals accessing material from other countries with lower age requirements (it's 16 in many European countries and 18 in the US) then the US.

    I personally think that these people should have their crime branded to their foreheads like the army deserters in the old days. Its not enough in my opinion that they have an online registry, I think people should have the right to know if there's some pervert sitting next to them at a movie or some other place. Their crimes should have to follow them 24/7.

    Viewers of child pornography should be subjected to somewhere between nothing or a fine of some sort or short jail sentence depending on re age of the child and the circumstances under which said film was made. The age of the viewer would also have to be considered.

    Yup, big crack down on that. To be fair, gambling is illegal almost everywhere in the states. Very few states have legalized gambling in person, so it follows that online gambling would fail the community standards test in terms of what's permissible online.

    about the child porn i reminded me of a joke here it is
    so a 40 year old man goes to court on child pornography charges. They find video tapes of it on his house. The judge asks him "how dose 5-6 years sound". The man says "sexy" My delivery is pretty bad but that joke is funny and disturbing at the same time
