Everyone should be welcome to join the forums as long as they're not a nazi or anything like that. I don't think this sort of thing should target a specific person as that's just wrong. It should target anyone interested in what the site has to offer.

I don't see a problem. As long as you don't expect much more than a little recognition for your work, it could turn out just fine.

The more popular the site is, the better. If we tried to maintain the site at the current amount of community members that are present today it will slowly die. The new members wont be assholes, despite what Emperor Napoleon portrays, I expect that Stalin is more appealing to young adults for a number of reasons, such as the high amounts of political debate that occur on the forums and the Let's Plays. At the moment, the games that Stalin is playing have respectable communities, however, if Stalin were to do a Let's Play on Modern Warfare 3 (bear with me) he would attract a much younger and to a large extent dumbed down. The games that the NKVD are currently involved in is the same, so don't expect to see any of those fucking 13 year old Call of Duty fans who plague almost all other significant gaming forums... Although, I do admit that we are not exactly free of them, either. So, I think increasing efforts to bolster up the amount of people can only spell good.

That's definitely not a group we want no matter how many of them we get. Also it would be hard as were not on YouTube to attract the the 10-13 year old crowd so even if he does more COD they won't see it.

All that's really needed is for a thread to be stickied so people can sign up and discuss the best ways to go about advertising the site. After thinking about it, I don't think it should be an official position on the site because we'll just have a bunch of idiots signing up for it so their color changes like most of the other positions here. I'm kind of blown away at the stupid shit people care about, it reminds me of all the douchebags on call of duty who upsess over their K/D ratio as if its actually an accomplishment. By not making it an official position, maybe we'll get people to sign up for it who actually want to help the forums grow.

The best way to create more popularity for the site is to commision numerous AARs, Mods, and other things that are brought to the Paradox Forums with the, "Brought to you by Josefvstain.com" bar on the top of them.

Make a name for ourselves and attract audiences we'd like being around.

Also by uploading the first video or two of an LP on YouTube we could attract some other attention.

No, this doesn't need an official group. It just needs a couple of volunteers who represent each forum to advertise the site in an appropriate manner. I was gonna try and get more people to join in on the NKVD tournaments and others could help get more people on the other forums so we don't have the same 10 people posting on each topic. That's the general idea at least. I think the best way to market the site isn't to be blatant about it but to subtly mention it on other site's forums such as posting a link to a related topic here. Basically, be creative about it.
