So what are your thoughts on the war was it justified and how do you think its changed modern society other then the fact of the German Empire was made.
Well France declared war, and regardless of what intrigues Bismarck set up to achieve this, they still fell for it and brought on themselves. What I resent is that France stayed bitter about the whole thing, despite the fact they had no legitimate claim whatsoever to Alsace-Lorraine when they first took it, and were also looking to seize territory in Luxembourg and Belgium at the time anyway.
Well it led to the formation of Germany.. so im pretty sure this war is essential in our timeline........
