State Socialism

Its pathetic that some guy would go on an internet crusade to try to discredit all the "dirty reds" on the forums. I'm not trying to redefine socialism. I'm trying to take socialism and communism as base ideologies and create something completely new, something that can unite the world under one banner, under one constitution and elected government.

Yes, but that doesn't mean he can tell me how to label myself. I fit the definition of state socialist, and I strongly believe in everything I have posted on this thread. Even before I knew what socialism/communism was I though that the world needed one strong and elected leadership. Personally, I think a world under one banner would probably have a significantly different economic system than socialism or capitalism, because of the fact that one nation would have control and access to all the resources the world has to offer. Not to mention, that this can lead to better resource conservation as the same environmental laws apply to the entire world.

I fully accept that, at the present moment, you're some kind of cosmopolitan democratic utopianist.

Ageism, or age discrimination is stereotyping and discriminating against individuals or groups because of their age. It is a set of beliefs, attitudes, norms, and values used to justify age based prejudice, discrimination, and subordination.

I believe that politics evolves like anything else. Ideologies will bash against each other till the more effective one prevails every single time. This is why I think it's better to focus on your INTERESTS rather then stupid titles and fancy movements. You are all caught up with being part of a club when you should be more interested in being a good member of society. If revolution becomes necessary it will be because of things that happen out there, not in here with utopian style theories .

If you want to influence the world around you actually FOLLOW what's going on in government all the time, and be open and honest about what you think is RIGHT in that situation not what is red and what is blue. If everyone in the world was active in making their beliefs known about current events then we would have faaaar more effective democracies.

Read the definition I posted in the OP, and then you can go and look up the definition of state socialism yourself. I am almost perfectly described by the second definition of state socialism, unless you can find some political ideology that encompasses both that and a wish to have the world under one strong government.

Is that really what you and Kali think socialism is? Something "cool" that you decide to be when you want to "fit in". Well newsflash, its not. I only know one other person with similar beliefs to me at my high school. He is a Leninist. That's two, TWO, people in my school that are socialist. That number comes out of 2500 students. Your claims that all socialists are teenagers and its just the "in thing" are just that, claims. Until you can actually pull out some legitimate statistics and impress me, I'm going to continue thinking your making shit up to prove your point. Which is ironic because you have accused me of doing this on many occasions.

@LampRevolt, I agree, but I think people need a small level of organization in their beliefs. Which is why I have said that we need a united form of socialism or leftism or whatever the hell you wanna call it. We just need something vague that many people can call themselves and support and organize under rather than a bunch of meaningless types that change very minuscule points and create divides between people that should be working together because their overall goal is the same.

We dont have democracy's, We have corporate oligarchy.
