To be fair, Britain was just looking for any opportunity to gain a hand over Germany's navy.

Okay fine, this game has gone on for long enough, I admit it. World War One was my fault.

When and why did this happen?[/quote:us8p5doj]

When the Ottoman empire started collapsing (1908?) Austria was supposed to "administer" Bonsia, which was to me made a sovereign state. Instead they annexed it and paid the Turks off, but both Russia and Serbia thought it was an agressive move due to the fact that Bosnia was a slavic nation. I would argue if not for that then Archduke Franz Ferdinand would not have been assassinated and WW1, as we know it, would not have happened. Having said that, some sort of war on that scale was inevitable in the first quarter of the twentieth century.

PS. You may want to check the facts as my knowledge on this is a little shaky.

NO NO AND NO. Germany my homeland should have never been blamed for such a stupid ass war. (Yes I know it revolutionized warfare forever.) Austia-Hungery should be blamed they declared war on Serbia which caused the war. Then Germany being a good and trustfull ally comes to help out then Britian,France(ha france.)and Russia say AH HELL NOOOOOO! And declare war on Germany and Austria. So actually when you look back it was Sebia fault for killing the Arch-Duck Charles which the only reason why they did that was because Sebia wanted land from Austria which was stupid Austria won the land fair and sqaure. But in the end eveyone just wanted to beat the shit out of Germany for shits and giggles. (Fucking assholes.)

For some reason, I think you are another forum member (presumably Napoleon) who created another account. It just sounds too obvious.

Serbia's fault, they should have paid reparations to Austria-Hungry for their nationalist ambitions, Germans were just thrown in there along with everyone else.

As for America, we joined for economic reasons, French and Russian farm fields were being burned and we could easily meet the demand that European farms couldn't. Another reason why we are morally superior!

The day you created your account, the post you just made sounds too much like something Napoleon would say. And your name kinda leads me to believe you are Napoleon.

    I KNEW IT!!!
I had never heard this but it is worth checking out.
I don't think so, but I'm not going to trust anyone who is obviously nationalist and has a quote from Hitler and picture of Hitler...

If you really think about it in the end everone was itching for a War all they needed was a reason and they got it when archduke Franz Ferdinand was killed. 1)Serbian terrorist kill the archduke. 2)Austria-Hungary gives Serbia an Ultimatum. 3)Serbia refuses. 4)Germany promises support for Austria against Serbia and Russia supports Serbia. 5) Germany declares war on Russia 6)France backs up Russia. 7) Germany declares war on France. 8)Germany declares war on neutral Belgium and invades. 9)Britain declares war on Germany and Austria-Hungary. Canada follows suit and joins the war.

Than as the war go's on other countries join.1) August 1914 Japan declares war on Germany. 2)October1914 the Ottoman Empire joins the central powers. 3) May 1915 Italy joins the Allied powers.4) October 1915 Bulgaria joins the Central Powers. 5)August 1916 Romaina joins the Allied powers. 6)April 1917 the United States joins the Allied Powers.

Germany was itching for a way to contain Russia and France, they were not however trying to start a fucking World War. In fact, the Kaiser wasn't exactly in favor of war, but his High Command persuaded him to enter.

Didn't Germany ask the French NOT to intervene?

I think that was the Kaiser's influence. But really all Germany had to do was beat Russia and they would be stronger than France. It was the Franco-Russian alliance they were afraid of.

Although when did France and Russia form an alliance on such sort notice, not to long ago France and Britain were fighting the Russians in the Crimea, and in the 1890's France was on the point of a colonial war with the British Empire. In general the alliances seemed a bit to weak
