Sometimes, when I'm on public transport like a train or bus, I entertain myself with an assortment of things. If I'm in a position close to a window which I can look out of clearly, I'll imagine a small man running across in the horizon, dodging obstacles, swinging from trees and running through grass. Depending on the environment around the vehicle, it's either an exciting free-run through an urban metropolis or an all-out sprint through fields and trees. If I can't see out of a nearby window, I'll create a scenario in my head to replace it. Sometimes it'll be an elaborate fight with no plot, like a golfing dispute or a gang shootout in a bowling alley. I even create drawn out settings, a plot and very well-described characters. Depending on the length of the trip, it can get very exciting. One time, I even brought myself close to tears as the main character's best friend died. This is why I don't use an iPod.
