The people of Misratah have got exactly what they deserve, actually they have gotten off easily.

When the war is over all of these rebels should be round up and killed. All who supported the rebels should be punished accordingly.

He's all for killing and murder if he thinks the other side is guilty of some perceived crime. A morality akin to Stalin or Hitler's....

People in this thread have wished the death of Gaddafi, this is no different, I wish the death on those in Libya who wish the death of Gaddafi.

wishing for the death of all the jews is the same as wishing for the death of people with a political oppinion. And at least the man in Misrata wished for a trial rather than plain murder. And I agree, I am against the death penalty. No one diserves their entire city destroyed and on the verge of famin.

Zeig Heil, death to rebels, same shit.

Obviously, everyone that lives in the city is a fighter. Including all those children, women, retired, and disabled.

Also its a political opinion, I dont wish death upon people who wish death upon Castro.

You have a point here. I think you're wrong, and that people have a right to rebel against an overtly oppressive government; but until they win they're just committing acts of treason.

I love the hypocracy some people are expressing in this thread, and I agree with you there pedro, until they win if they win - they're all criminals.

Putting Gaddafi on trial would be wonderful but he will probably be killed before we can.

I don't want to deviate from the topic but I have a confession to make... *deep breath*

I am not against the death penalty.
It's quite simple in my opinion. If there is conclusive proof, ex. someone is caught in their basement raping a barely alive five year old next to a pile of dead five year olds, it wouldn't make logical sense to just keep them captive for the rest of their lives.

Actually, someone make a death penalty thread. I think we could get some good discussion on this topic

An argument could be made there that instead of just putting him/her out him/hers misery it's less punishing than serving a life sentence.

So, a 3 year old living in Misrata who knows nothing about the political situation and could care less of polotics and just minding his/her own buisness deserves to have an artilery shell fall on her head and die an early death? If someone rebells against a tyrant, then they are criminals? Are the people who fought against the Tsar in 1917 criminals and deserve to die when he was clearly a brutal, yet ineffective dictator? I think the people of the Russian revolution are heros for standing up to the government. So why should I think diffriently with the Libyan rebells?

(yes I know I did say I am neutral, changed my mind again. Deal with it)

I support the rebels in spirit, but I have no desire to be supporting them financially. As an American, I am tired of seeing my money spent on other people's fights. Tired of the UN intervening? Me too! America provides 22% of the UN's regular budget and 26% of the peacewarmaking budget. I'm tired of paying to be part of this entangling alliance. Libya only sells about 3% of its oil to the USA, a incredibly small amount. This is not our fight, and I don't want to pay another penny for it.

Why the fuck do you talk about money in every post, even in other threads, where its irrelevant? You wanna know a secret? I saw your intro post, and you being a capitalist isn't unique. There are a lot of them here, albeit most not as extreme as you. At your current rate, you're going to become the Anti-Che. Just as stubborn and polarizing, but with opposite views.
