Libya Superthread

Kinda like "no you hang up first, no you" don't you think.

The group which conducted the "investigation" is named British Civilians For Peace in Libya, their funding is opaque, and their political ties link them to socialists. Not to mention that they apparently were taken on a guided tour by the government.

EDIT: Oh, and apparently they admit that they didn't do any research.

So wanting peace in Libya automatically means you support Gaddafi? By that logic wanting peace in Afghanistan means you support Al Qaeda. Also if you would have read thoroughly you would have noticed they went to the places said to have been bombed by popular media, France and America.

Shouldn't the group be impartial to the conflict in Libya, not wanting war or peace. It just seems that if the group that investigated Libya has an agenda, either for or against Gaddafi, their conclusions should not be trusted.

But rebels with an obvious anti-Gaddafi bias should be trusted?

To me, yes, because I support their movement. That is why I would not put myself up to the task of the investigation.

You sure about that? Typically China prefers right-wing militant dictatorships in power in Africa, so that they can dominate their economy with FDI and get them to agree with ridiculously one-sided deals. Gaddafi doesn't seem like the type to agree to that.

China is hypocritical about it, really. It's never their place if they have nothing to gain from it. It is their place if they have a chance to gain something.

Just like Tibet automaticlly became Chinese land when the Chinese decided to conquer it. But Iraq was none of their bussiness because they didn't have something to take. It will be their bussiness if they can get the minerals and oil though.

Tibet and the Taklamakan are not "Chinese" in any sense of the word except simple territorial boundary. Either way, imperialism is imperialism, right? Attack it when it's American or European, defend it if it's not...

Class liberation is not imperialism. The standard of life of the people of Tibet only went up, especially compared to the slavery enforce by them under British rule and that of the CIA puppet the Dalai Lama, however things have become worse since Capitalism has been in placed since the mid 70's.

Seriously? The Dalai Lama has been the traditional ruler of Tibet since LONG before America even existed... Hell, since Britain existed. The idea that he's somehow a CIA puppet is utter foolishness. He's the religious leader of Tibetan Buddhism; in no way could the CIA have influenced his selection.
