In rural New York? Not a chance. The nearest city is Rochester, and that place is a violent shit hole. I don't know about any specific gangs but it's a mostly black city so I'd suspect they have the usual bloods and crips. Probably no Mexican gangs, you know, since we are nowhere near the border. But but I wouldn't say there are gang wars or that it has a gang problem, just drug dealers and petty criminals. There are murders, but nothing like LA or NYC.

I live in a town of about 15,000 which is like a 2 min drive away from a town of about 5000 and even with the tiny population and being in Canada (sounding realllllyy low key right) there are a fuck load of drugs. Not just the light stuff either we've had gigantic coke busts recently. I know two dealers just at my work, not bad guys but the one's been having troubles with the local scumbags as of late. Moron sold to the wrong people, they didn't pay back , he pursued it, next thing you know we have 15 fucked up assholes waiting outside the bar LOL.

The business ask them for protection against rival gangs. if drugs are out of the equation there is still territory and money.
