Found some interesting stuff, that have some way slipped my knowledge

1.The Indian National Army was an armed force formed by Indian nationalists in 1942 in Southeast Asia during World War II. The aim of the army was to liberate India from the British occupation with Japanese assistance.

2.The Dodecanese Campaign of World War II (also the last time Germans dropped paratroopers into an combat zone) was an attempt by British forces, to capture the Italian-held Dodecanese islands in the Aegean Sea following the surrender of Italy in September 1943, and use them as bases against the German-controlled Balkans. The Allied effort failed, with the whole of the Dodecanese falling to the Germans within two months, and the Allies suffering heavy losses in men and ships.The operations in the Dodecanese, lasting from 8 September to 22 November 1943, resulted in one of the last major German victories in the war.

3.1945, hundreds of people committed mass suicide in the town of Demmin. The suicides occurred during a mass panic that was provoked by atrocities committed by soldiers of the Soviet Red Army, who had sacked the town the day before. Although death toll estimates vary, it is acknowledged to be the largest mass suicide ever recorded in Germany.

How are any of those facts funny there horrifying! The longbow one was pretty cool though.

Japanese fail. The first one is absolutely hilarious

1.The United States mainland was first shelled by the Axis on February 23, 1942 when the Japanese submarine I-17 attacked the Ellwood Oil Field west of Goleta, near Santa Barbara, California. Although only a pumphouse and catwalk at one oil well were damaged, I-17 captain Nishino Kozo radioed Tokyo that he had left Santa Barbara in flames. No casualties were reported and the total cost of the damage was officially estimated at approximately $500–1,000

2.The Lookout Air Raids occurred on September 9, 1942. The first and only aerial bombing of mainland America by a foreign power occurred when an attempt to start a forest fire was made by a Japanese Yokosuka E14Y1 "Glen" seaplane dropping two 80 kg incendiary bombs over Mount Emily, near Brookings, Oregon. The seaplane had been launched from the Japanese submarine aircraft carrier I-25. No significant damage was officially reported following the attack, nor after a repeat attempt on September 29.

3.Between November 1944 and April 1945, the Japanese Navy launched over 9,000 fire balloons toward North America. Carried by the recently discovered Pacific jet stream, they were to sail over the Pacific Ocean and land in North America, where the Japanese hoped they would start forest fires and cause other damage. About three hundred were reported as reaching North America, but little damage was caused. Six people (five children and a woman) became the only deaths due to enemy action to occur on mainland America during World War II

Mine aswell mention the UFO over los angeles I think the Japanese claimed that for a while til after the war proved it otherwise.

During Soviet times, the Armenian SSR had a coat of arms depicting Mount Arafat, which has a largely symbolic importance to the Armenians but is located in Turkey.
In the 1950s Turkey complained that the Soviet Union was making a claim on Turkish territory. In which Soviet leader Khrushchev replied: "Why do you have a moon depicted on your flag? After all, the moon doesn't belong to Turkey, not even half the moon ... Do you want to take over the whole universe?"

Herbert Hoover was the only president in US history to give all of his money to charity.

Hitler did not become a German citizen until 1932.

So that's how you weaken your stronger neighbour country, get citizenship on it and create an extremist party in a bar. (btw, if I've not read wrong in my book, the nazi party was created in a bar)
