When I was little I was a very nationalistic Canadian, who thought we should kick out all those American businesses and keep to ourselves. then when I realized that this would never work, way later, I became a communist ( i haven't really chosen what kind yet) basically I believe that currency shouldn't exist, and that the next American I see on the television crying because he "has to pay for some stupid kids schooling" he should be shot. repeatedly. as far as I'm concerned medicine, education, and food/shelter should be rights, protected by the government, not some company. or institution charging for something that is a necessity.

I believe that conservatism is ridiculous as an idea (at least what I've seen of it here, seriously, google Stephen Harper, I'll wait.) I also believe that the systems in place now, will eventually fail. and that communism is inevitable (I doubt in 3000 years when humanity is colonizing planets we'll still have currency) I'm pretty left wing... (I'll go lurk again now that I look like a nutcase >_>)

First things first i was a Fascist a few years back, not National Socialism. Obviously i realized how much abuse you would get for being something on the far-right, so i decided to drop back to Conservatism because my Brother is some Thatcherite and we had deep compelling conversations about Conservatism and the Tories here in the UK, hell we even talked about Communism, my Brother said it was corrupted and it would never work and at this point i was agreeing with him, but supported with a lack of knowledge. My Brother was associated with the economic theory of monetarism and Keynesian economics because it came from Thatcherism economic policy.

My Brother would tell me to join the young Conservatives, but at the time i wasn't knowledgeable when it come to Politics. I did know about Communism at the times i was Fascist because i read a bit about Fascism then and it said it was anti-Communist and such. One day i decided to research up on The Communist Manifesto and i wasn't disappointed. I thought it was a clever concept and very understandable, so i followed the teachings of Marxism. Here i am today Marxist-Leninist-Maoist. Interesting times it was.

I was radical at one point though, i couldn't bare talking to American's mainly because of the whole Cold War deal, but i realized how stupid that was. So, thank god i'm not like that anymore because i wouldn't be here talking to you guys right now.

It has changed my point of view of the world, my understanding of the world from a Marxist perspective. Changed my life.....nah i wouldn't say so, but i try not to reveal my ideology when i'm out and about socially. I keep it hidden from inside me.

Fascism>Conservatism>Communism How does that work out.

I used to be a big classical liberal guy. Then I watched C-SPAN for the first time and understood what folly that was.

C-Span is underrated. No other station just flat out shows you exactly what's going on in the government as literally as them.
Also am I the only person who was never a Jingoist or an extreme far-righter at one point?
I have been revolving around the center, and my views are still evolving at present.

Thats basically what happens to most people, but if they don't choose themselves to learn about politics, then they can sometimes stay that way, and if they grow to be a middle class, uneducated (by choice) gangster wannabe, that will show in their arrogence and bad things that they do in their lives.

C-SPAN has no bias. It's live coverage of House and Senate proceedings, gaps are filled with exceedingly dry conferences on such and such nonsense that happens in DC that day. There is no part of C-SPAN that has any opinion injected into it because the only staff-related voices are the hosts of the call-in section in the mornings, who read headlines, and the voice of the announcer chick (or guy if she's sick or whatever) who explains what bill is up for vote or what is being shown.

She has a very dull voice, though I don't know if I'd say bored.

Some of the programs are (like the live coverage of the Senate) but most programs are SDTV because it's very rarely the same film crews doing the filming.

Why exactly do they need to be broadcast in HD it makes no difference and does anybody care that they can watch in HD.

I think it's because of the way C-SPAN is funded; basically they get the potluck of old junk from the major cable networks, so it appears that there were a few outdated HD cameras available...

It's the same here to because every major media company in Canada has a stake in it. Does your broadcast stuff from the other channels like it for example does it show some footage from CPAC? Here since parliment is out right now it's almost 24/7 C-SPAN and when it's not it's either La Chaîne parlementaire of France, Pheonix of Germany, or BBC Parliament.
