    Ron Paul favors small government and personal freedom and choice. The fact that on "social issues" he favors traditional or religious views doesn't factor into the left right discussion.

    yeah whenever i bring up to my girlfriend that im a libertarian she throws Ron Paul's conservative, or "traditional" as you put it, values in my face :/

    I used to have left-wing ideas, but when I grew older I realized that the solutions that social democratic parties have on social and economic issues did not work out that well. So I shifted to the centre and became more liberal.

    And I personally finds this fact hilarious. Just shows how right wing american politics really are.(im not anti-USA)

    I think I've shifted a little more to the left in my teens but I'm still not a "real" socialist, I'm still only 17 though so alot can change.

    I used to be far more left wing- I used to be full on socialist a few years ago. I eventually mellowed out to where I am now (European centre-left).

    Ha! I was quite opposite, I even burned our flag at one point

    But I've always been on the mid-far left, but I often shifted from authoritarian to the opposite, still do from time to time( but never to ches level!)
