Oh also.... this is an open Line Battle, so organisation in the teams is actually quite low. There are other Line Battles though, where Teams are more organized (like Aloysius said).
@pedro
I won't say we don't suck, especially at Line Infantry. But one has to get rid of the thought that you shot where the crosshair is. As you can see when I present the musket somewhere in the middle, that the margin of error is pretty wide. There is a randomization programmed in to represent the weaponry of the time (as you may know, Musket bullets "bounced" inside the barrel on their way out). Also, there is slight bullet drop off when you shoot targets in the distance.
@3man75
The whole point of the game is to "simulate" Line Battles. So "Blitzkrieg" tactics would be a little counter productive for that.
At the time pedro we where independent regiment there is no supreme command structure in the public linebattles where any regiment can join so long as its somewhat even. Now we are in the Austrian army so there is a more communication between units. Also we cant go into seperate units like of 3 men or so. its the Napoleonic era and unit cohesion means everything. Break the rules you get kicked from server with your regiment.
I'm curious how much room there is to communicate between different units. It seems you guys had trouble connecting with your targets which can either be a function of you guys sucking or you not being close enough to your targets. Having some military guys in there I'm surprised how little fire and maneuver I saw. Is communication between small units to the level where you can have one unit providing covering fire for another while it maneuvers closer to the enemy?
