What’s your favorite period of warfare, i.e Roman, Medieval, Modern etc.? Personally I love Napoleonic warfare because I feel that is the closest warfare ever came to be considered an art and WWII because of its shear scale.

My favorite period of warfare was probably the 1600's because knights were still considered dangerous and lethal, however firearms were present in battle

Late Middle Ages, where the knights were starting to lose their status of kings of the field.

Russian Civil War. Total craziness and anarchy with 50 different factions and cavalry still playing a role.

Medieval Warfare were Warfare was Purely Skill and it did not matter how many guns you can bring upon an enemy.

My favorite period is the medieval period too. I love knights in shining armor, royalty and bloody hand to hand slaughterhouses. Plus, the medieval period forged most of the current boundaries and countries that exist today.

To be hones i find the battles of today most interesting. Insurgent/guerilla warfare against hightec armies. there has never ben a period of time where comunication and intelligence was instantanious. And tactics and firepower(except nukes but they are not "fun" anyways) is unmatched.

Medieval warfare because it just appeals to me in every way. Plus the Hapsburgs dominated all of Europe which was awesome.

Ancient times, preferrably Greek and Roman. Greek because of the Persian wars and Alexander The Great, and Roman just beccause their military ws probably the most effective fighting force in history. Also, World War 2 because in my opinion it was the first modern war

From just after the Napoleonic wars, right up until the interbellum. I just love the diplomacy of the 19th century, coupled with the advent of modern technology, as well as the overall strategy employed by leaders in that time. WWI, the Russian civil war, The banana wars, The Spanish American War, The Philippine Insurgency, The US Civil War, The Boxer Rebellion, The Crimean War, and all those are very interesting to me!

Which is why I really loved your Victoria II LP. Make another! I command thee!!

No. WWII was the last "real" war. Like a war between two or more nations of relatively equal strength. Modern war (Iraq & Afghanistan) sucks.
