So basically I'm going to college this september and am currently working with trying to figure out the money issue and housing and stuff (housing is really expensive in down town toronto, it's killin' me) and I was looking for advice from people who have gone to uni/college or even have lived in a big urban environment for most of their life as I have seriously lived in a group of villages totaling to almost 20,000 people. It's a 100 miles from the middle of no where in other words. But yeah advice, comments, money savers, all appreciated.
My flat was always incredibly cold as I couldn't be arsed to pay off the central heating, so I adopted an unorthodox way of heating the room. I would masturbate profusely. The raw heat would warm up the room in no time and the heat lingered for a good few hours. Then I'd just do it again. The only thing I'd eat was supernoodles.
I have the exact same problem as you except I have a grant for housing, but my problem is tuition and supplies.
yeah see Romulus tuition up here for college is subsidized, so it isn't as bad. Either way we're both gonna end up with big ol' student loans. You're a wise man toast.
Sell pot. And 20,000 is a lot, I live in a village of less than 10,000. Some real hick shit up in here.
Well that's cool that your parents are helping you. I think my mom may buy me some instant rice but that's about all I'm getting from her XD. I said group of villages. The biggest one is 12,000 and there's a couple more within 15 min drive. I personally live in a shithole of 500.
That doesn't change the fact that you should sell pot. Naw but in all seriousnes you should probably get a dorm, or an apartment with some friends. Definitely get a job.
Ye I got my smartserve and figure I should be able to get a serving job somewhere in downtown Toronto.
There's that "Expected Family Contribution", but I'm probably just going to get loans to cover most of it.
It's basically the schools saying in their aid report, "Here's what you have to pay." Expected family contribution is just a nice way to say it.
