the Resident Evil series would be my favourite, just because of all the kickass guns and zombies...

You guys aren't big fans of intense post apocalyptic movies aren't you? :)

That, considering that the Book of Eli was a recent movie.

That one where the apocalypse was caused by dragons and the main characters try and fight them to protect themselves.
Also, I agree with everyone that the book of Eli was good.

The first Mad Max, although that was technically pre/mid-apolocolyptic
Obviously the fact it was made on a budget of piss-all should be taken into account. And though some people prefer it, the dubbed over American version loses a couple of things in translation

    The Book of Eli.
Awesome story imo, but needs improvement on portraying the story though

Children of Men. It felt frighteningly plausible.

As for books, my choice would be Warday. It also felt a little too real at times.

That movie actually looks pretty good, I might check it out

Another good movie that has a very real feel and also one of the very few movies that have made my cry like a baby.

Oh yes, The Road. I've been wanting to see that too. It looks very, well, difficult...:( but very good nonetheless
