well ive had vicky 2 for about 3 weeks now, and im anxious to try multiplayer, jsut two problems though 1. i dont know how to get into a game 2. can you still pause in multiplayer and on that note does anyone feel like making a multiplayer game where we all join into a NKVD alliance and fight the british.
I'd join if I ever had the time. I call Sardinia-Piedmonte though. I want to try and unite Italy so I'm not bored as hell for the first few decades.
I think we may need more than just 2 people though. Maybe like 5 would be nice. I know if one of the nations went Communist we might be able to persuade Lenin Cat into joining in.
Count me in for multi. I have both steam and non steam versions on two computers which comes to a total of 4 Vicky2 files. Also yes you can pause multi for a total of 30 seconds at a time. After the 30 seconds anyone can unpause. TO join multi you need to enter the host's IP address or join the metagame server thing which is much more user friendly.
We may not want more than 6-7 people because of lag and the need for pauses. Also because you just know someone is going to take like Bavaria and screw up the entire German unification process if we get to many people.
looks like we have a game, the only thing now is to find a time which would be ok with all considering we all live on other sides of the world.
I can play pretty much any time for the next week with some warning. Important to note that those with Vic2 on steam can't play with those who have a retail/gamersgate etc copy and vice versa. Every singly Paradox game hates Steam trufax.
Are you sure? LAN games probably work just fine, as long as we're using the same version. The Steam version also launches the game launcher instead of the game, so I think it's more independent than most other Steam apps are. I'm not sure if the Metaserver is working yet; I know that after DW was released it got all effed up. In any case Hamachi will allow us to play a LAN game if that fails. Timezone-wise I'm at -6:00 GMT.
Since I'm Sardinia-Piedmonte, can you let me have the things needed for forming Italy without a massive influence/invasion war. If you do, I promise not to use that decision that gives me a bunch of cores on Austrian land. :mrgreen:
Ya timezones are going to screw us over probably. I don't know how we'd play given school/work and sleep.
yeah thats what i thought, i guess in middle of weekend, and somw one is going to have to sacrifice bit of night, others bit of morning and such.
