hey guys i got another thing in my mind... Isnt the US Economic decline kinda similar to the USSR's, and with the burden of the US expense is military expenditure. Isnt it kinda similar to the Soviets problem with having too big a military to be maintained?? i wanna hear ur guys' thought on it?

Not really. Our military is a burden, but it isn't the root of the problem.

All great power go through massive military spending issues when in decline. Is natural. Is no big deal. Happen many time before.

It's more like Britain. We're transitioning into a welfare state and second-classness in the World where India and/or China will pick up.

We'll still be big, we wont be destroyed, but we'll be second class. Also, in 20 years when we are, I'm going to I told you so the shit out of you guys. You can do the same if we become the Thumb of God, again.

The biggest contributing factor in our downturn is the horrible mismanagement of our government, specifically the Bush years.

If India becomes more powerful than the US in 20 years time, I will eat my hat.

I dont think it will match the USSR because the USSR was quite odd in the way it coalapsed. It basically had 2 leaders, the first softened the tight regulations, then the second just said "right lets split this place up." It is an odd empire of history in that it was broken up willingly by 2 guys.

He could mean second class in the sense that the country moves down from a superpower to just a great power. His wording is a bit odd as it implies that there is only one "first class" (whatever that truly means) nation on Earth right now.
