In the mainly Muslim India-controlled region of the world, The Kashmir, thousands of dead bodies have been uncovered in unmarked mass-graves. India denies human rights abuses. The Kashmir population is mainly Muslim, and most of them want to join up with Pakistan, which is the Muslim India. India has fought Kashmiri separatists and indeed the Pakistani Army for decades now, and the conflict shows no signs of lightening up.

What are your thoughts on this? On the conflict as a whole?

India doesn't want The Kashmir to fall in to Pakistani hands due to the fact most of their water for the surrounding area comes from their, and they don't like the idea of their enemy controlling their water source.

Pakistan is going of the idea that, hey, they want to join with us, you should let them.

Parts of the Kashmir are also held by Pakistan, as well a small part held by China.

Both Pakistan and India are armed with nuclear weapons.

In my opinion, they should just hand it over to Pakistan, and then send in the UN Peacekeepers to make sure that they don't restrict Indians of their water.

As for the graves, this really needs to be investigated further, by an international body, and someone needs to be held responsible.

I agree with you... Like if Kashmir wants to join then let them..... But thats not gonna happen... unless a war breaks out or the International Community forces India to...

Plus mass graves? wow.... never heard of those happening there...

India's pals with America, India could kill every last one of them and everything would be fine and dandy like ribbon candy, especially if it's against a population that is favorable to Pakistan.

That is an entirely irrelevant point, and you are even wrong with your point because America WAS in fact fine with Saudi Arabia using live ammunition on protesters.

And second, yes Libya is winning the war.

Mmm... Someone has to explain the bodies. Though considering the region, for all we know, the bodies could date before modern India and Pakistan and have entirely nothing to do with either.

Just don't touch China's claim.

that's where you are wrong. America isn't "pals" with anyone but those that are useful to them. im not being racist (i love america) but the government of America has turned into a pack of over-optimistic politicians. they would attack India the moment they start an unjustified war.

The bodies were buried recently, and they were obviously Kashmiri youths. India and Pakistan have been around(and fighting) since 1948.
And to be honest I don't know why China even wants parts of the Kashmir.

Oh and Che, America doesn't take sides in the Pakistan vs. India conflict, but neither really like America.

India and China, however, hate each other, and China is allied with Pakistan.

    @ Kal
    What do you think?

    @ The Shaw
Not really. China and India are on lukewarm terms. In spite of having a combined 1/3rd of the world's population, their economies are surprisingly independent of each other. India is smart enough to recognize that China is only willing to back Pakistan on the subject of the U.S., who the Indians repeatedly refuse to allow to put a base in India in order to avoid conflict with China. Politically and economically speaking of course. India is in a way more isolationist than China, it pretty much only conserns itself with Pakistan with regards to international affairs. Otherwise it looks inward as it has enough domestic issues to deal with as it is.

Well maybe they don't hate each other anymore, but China does support Pakistan in the conflict.

China and India have enjoyed [as cultures] millenia after millenia of peace. They have in short, been good neighbors who have rarely if ever met in a confrentation. That being said; China recognizes the need for allies not enemies and will [probably] not support any military action by Pakistan towards India. Like I said, China helping Pakistan is to keep the region west of China U.S.-military-base-free, not to help Pakistan invade India.

The 'war' in the 60's can hardly be counted as much more than a series of boarder skirmishes. The respective combatants did not call in massive amounts of troops [with respect to their capabilities] and conquer each other. The incident [perpetrated by the Indians no less] is not in any way a conflict that would nuture the growth of any major long-lasting distrust and/or anamosity between the two combatants.
