So, if you've seen Season 15 Episode 7, its heavily implied that South Park may be ending for good. If not ending, then at least, it will never fucking be the same. This article sums it up nicely. http://www.boomtron.com/2011/06/south-p ... ld-review/
Glad I wasn't the only one who was thinking that while watching. This season has been pretty bad, and this recent episode seems to admit to that. As much as I've grown up watching southpark, and loving every minute of it, it would be nice to see them come back with a few strong episodes and finish on top.
the first episode of the season a pretty good, but your right staring at a literal piece of shit for 20 minutes gets old. that speech with stan's parents was defininatly parker and stone's resignation letter. I would be suprised if this season wasn't the last
The episodes are kinda hit and miss now, but some are still really good. Episode 3 of season 15 was one of my favorites ever.
From what I heard they have a contract to make the show until 2013 apparently. And common.....This is so like Parker and Stone. I honestly think this is just another one of those episodes. Where you think "OH shit this just got real" and then it just goes in an entire different direction. I'd don't think this is "the end" but it dose make a point about that all things do come to an end.
Maybe it'll be like when Kenny was gone for a whole season and then he was back with no explanation. Everything could get magically fixed.
i retract my post parker and stone said that this wasn't not the end and they were just having fun. Their still doing southpark, probably the reason this season was so bad is that they were focusing all of their energy doig book of mormon stuff and weren't writing a whole lot.
The last episode I saw was when Stan became a cynical bastard. Not been to up to date since ComedyCentral seem to put them on at random times.
Season 14 hasn't come out in Aus. Not sure if we even have season 13? Well, looks like I will be waiting another two years to see this episode. Yay.
Go to southparkstudios.... they host every episode. It may be different outside of CONUS, but here they host every episode that's been aired, and it's the official comedy central, sp website, so it's 100% legit.
They put them right to making South Park again right after their Book of Mormon business finished. They had no time off.
Still though, they did this back in season 8 (or 10? The one with woodland critters xmas, and the awesome-o bot episodes) while they were doing Team America, and still delivered a much better product. If you listen to some of their commentary for that season it's crazy with what they put themselves through.
But they were at-least expecting it. They were probably writing the new episodes while filming Team America. When they finished Book of Mormon, they expected some time off before they started working on South Park again.
