so, today I just noticed that I can no longer use regular keys, they use their alternatives, i`m not sure why, but it just started when I logged onto this site, it doesn`t appear on any other site, at all.

    the keys giving me trouble are é, `, <, ^, ¸, and #

I notice they are in blue characters on my keyboard, and on the far right the alternative num pad 1 says End under it, and under that it says Fin, so i`m assuming from that it is a Duck keyboard.

    yes, Duck,

    FUCKING FRENCH!

please sir, may I not have any more, it is prohibiting me from creating Quotes with usernames, adding question marks, etc.

it`s annoying, but has never appeared before today, and yes, I had this keyboard longer than this day, i`ve had this keyboard for 4 years now.

Have you tried pressing Shift + tab at the same time?

Well most keyboards sold in Canada are multilingual as mine does that from time to time either starting a new session or restarting the computer usually fixes it for me.

    nope, not fixed

I`ve been doing the exact same thing for years, same internet browser, same keyboard, same computer, even when I moved homes last month everything`s been the same, except today, my computer doesn`t want to type question mark. it wants to type

    ÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉ!

Now, if you`ve watched any of the Austin Powers`movies, you`d have found that funny

thanks though, I`ll keep trying random junk n`stuff `till it starts typing English again.

Have you tried unplugging your keyboard and plugging it back in?

Yep, definately this site, i`ve even shut down my comp and restarted, and nothing happened.

Apparently in English (canada) Octobre is not French.

That would be because you didn't change the dictionary. Try deleting cookies and stuff for the site and see if it changes.

ok, I've solved it, all I need to do is go to Internet Preferences and select English U.S, the ame with Regional and Languages options in Control Panel, however, it does still give me problems and the internet needs to be rebooted for it to take effect each time I turn it on in the morning.

unless there is no other way to solve this, I request that a mod lock this thread.
