Your thoughts and comments etc people! The voice in the German introduction sounds very familiar... I wonder if it's the same guy as on Company of Heroes?
Edit: oh, and obviously while I find it highly offensive that Stalin says he is playing as the scum of the scum (surely the German soldiers were heroes of Stalingrad too), we won't bring up that debate, because it's been done to death and then some.
Another edit: ''thought i'd take some time out amongst the blood and explosions to administer some shout-outs'' - lol

I'm enjoying the let's play and i certainly can't wait for the Soviet campaign. Nazis are scum, but the Wehrmacht were a force i respected a lot.

Ugh, I hated that defence mission...I luckily got to skip it somehow, and didn't get any of the Steam achievements for completing the German campaign, it's kinda weird.

Also, on what difficulty are you playing? I started off at the hardest difficulty, which might not have been such a great idea.

EDIT: Oh, I think your character sometimes screams "I got him!" when you hit someone, but I'm not entirely sure.

It's not weird that you didn't get the achievement. You said you skipped it, so you didn't complete the mission.

During the tank mission, did anyone else hear the guy keep saying jamón?

I didn't really like the voiceovers, just terrible hearing the same guy screaming over, and over, and over, and over...

But Stalin at least made it very fun to watch.

I think I whenever he issues a order it asks him to confirm it and he never does.... that maybe one of the squad AI's problems

I'm seriously hoping the devs patch up the AI to get rid of most if not all of the imbecilic moments, like enemies charging right into your face not shooting or them getting in your way, and the improper use of cover. If they didn't do those stupid things then the AI would be decent.

Lol the AI is so derpy. I'll have died after being pinned down by like 5 guys and the preview of the guy I'm about to spawn into is running back and forth in front of machine gun fire. Of course, while I was pinned down someone could've flanked and whiped out the whole Russian force.

But I didn't get achievements for the later missions either. I also don't get the mission selection screen all the time.

I've tried it as well, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Also, don't use force respawn, it only resets the timer, but even when it "succeeds" nothing actually happens.

I hate the voice acting in the Soviet campaign.

That's why it should be fixed. Killzone 3 has fairly good bots, so it's certainly not impossible to make them good with several big patches. Also, should I buy the game now or wait a few months for the bugs to be ironed out?

I found the voices of the germans to be a bit annoying.
They screamed with a light voice almost all the time! fIRE...

    the tanks are awesome!

They all seem to have stopped in the Allied campaign - maybe it was just the volume
    Also -
'I'm sure there are lots of nazis who are wonderful people'
'real men use bolt-action rifles! Oh, I wasn't expecting a machine gun'

I actually really like the semi-auto rifle, and how do you prevent the kickback from the smg's? I can't seem to handle it too well.

Remember on the assault on Gumrak when Stalin had the bravest and most fearless tank crew member ever and ever will be who continued to operate the gun on the T-34 with one leg that's hero material but died soon after.

Hero of the Soviet Union? That depends on whether he killed enough enemies. The quotas must be filled! We will complete the five-year-plan in four years!
