Hey, I have a question abbout adding RAM to my PC. Im running a Quad Core 2.4GHz, GeForce 480, 2GB RAM, Win 7 64-bit. Im thinking of adding 2GB as most games recomend 4GB with win 7, but the question is: will it make and impact on the way games play - less lag, faster loads or anything.

Sry if its a stupid question, im not the smartest persion in the world when it comes to these type of things.

It depends, it'll make it less laggy with more stuff on the screen in-game but it won't boost performance for already laggy games. Your computer will definitely go faster. You could really use an upgrade on that CPU, quad-core is fine but 2.4 ghz is kinda low. Perhaps you could overclock it? Though I wouldn't recommend it.

well the ram would be a short term thing, can't afford the €400 for a i7 atm. I should add that I play mmo's and rts games alot, so they should benefit from the additional ram, no?

Well your system sounds pretty good already. However if you were going to upgrade anything make it the RAM, you're on 64 bit after all.
