Well, I recently solved a very annoying and hard to fix problem on my computer, and wanted to share it with you guys in case you develop a similar problem and don't end up spending hundreds of wasted dollars like I did. I'm pretty sure I saw an old thread with a similar problem anyway.
The problem is crashes without warning. Most times, the computer will instantly reboot, like someone pressed the reset button. Other times, the computer would freeze, sometime with a loud buzzing sound playing through the speakers. It normally happened during intensive tasks, such as gaming and file extracting and converting, but could also happen during random tasks such as scrolling through lists, web browsing and even when the computer was idle. After replacing the ram, motherboard and hard drive, it turns out after a year of these 5 times daily crashes and $300 (a fortune, as I'm 16), all I had to do was increase the voltage of the ram. Mind, I had to increase it by quite a lot, from 1.5v to 1.74, a few increments lower and it would crash again. I haven't crashed since, though my comp does boot up very slowly, but that's because I have multiple terabytes of jumbled data across 4 hard drives.
Anyway, if you have a similar problem try it, need any help ask here.
