    Hey guys.

Ive recently brought a microphone in the hopes of doing some recordings and making a lest play for the first time. However i have found that for some reason, what ever noise the comes through my speakers, no matter what volume, plays through the microphone essentially meaning i cant record anything. It will also pick up only what the speakers are doing no matter how far away or how quiet they are.
For example lets say im playing Left 4 Dead, my mic will only pick up and play the game sounds unless i mute them, in which case it picks up nothing meaning i cant record.

This happens with every Mic i use and yes i have made sure i'm using the right jack

Please someone help me or at the very least tell me if this is fixable (not sure if thats a word or not).

Also i hope ive explained this well enough

Well you should never record microphone audio with external speakers on. Get a headset or something.

Um, huh? Disable microphone playback, turn down your volume, and it should be fine.

Ok i think it may be working, sounds arnt automatically playing back through the mic anymore yay :), however it seems the mic on the headset doesnt work well, at all. it only picks up when things seem to actually hit the mic so im returning it hoping to get a new one
