What could have happened if Britain took a hardline stance and Hitler had to actually invade Czechoslovakia? Some experts say the Czechoslovakians could have lasted up to a year if an invasion occurred. What do you think?

This war ends fast. The Nazi Army was not yet ready to handle Russia, France, Britain, etc. Germany invades, they get bogged down to a halt, the Allies jump on the stuck Germans, and Hitler falls.

Would Russia really invade at that point though? I mean this was before they got their asses kicked by the Finns.

Haha, probably not. America and Russia never need to lift a finger in Europe. France and Britain could take the Germans.

I agree. It might not be a easy as it sounds though. It might just bog down into another World War 1 trench fight. However, I am intrigued by Harry Turtledove's series "The War That Came Early" which has Hitler invading Czechoslovakia, and I believe actually has him coming out on top (there's 3 books out in the series and 3 more coming). I just ordered the first one.

I would think the war would defenitely not required the help of the Russians or us Americans. If Britain and France had attacked during the invasion of Poland, Germany would have been toast. This would be the same way, except they actually do attack.

I agree with you guys completely and this is making me even more anxious to see how Harry Turtledove makes Hitler pull out on top in this scenario.

I think it would be the same thing as the Polish invasion only earlier and maybe longer.

I don't know. Czechoslovakia had a much, much better military than Poland, and you would not have the Soviet Union coming in from behind either.
