Lets talk about Oblivion, Morrowind and the upcomig Skyrim. the whole Tarmiel world in general.
I quite like the elder scrolls and the whole world and story of Tarmiel and i thought i might as well make a thread for it.

In Skyrim i would most like to see companions. I know many people are against it,but i would like it. If you dont want companions then just dont get one in the game.

Also, i was hoping the next Elder Scrolls would be in Elsweyr but im happy with Skyrim

If you wanna learn about the world of Tarmiel heres some useful sites:

I wouldn't mind having a companion in Skyrim.

Why oblivion and skyrim? Why not morrowind and skyrim ;p. I personally loved morrowind alot more then oblivion.

    Elder Scrolls Skyrim and Oblivion

Morrowinds story was just so much better. And the magic play was fantastic. I think it was a lot more immersion, and had a better environment. I think that oblivion was good, but it couldn't live up to morrowind, sure the graphics where great, but the atmosphere was not there, and people seemed plain in oblivion. Hopefully Skyrim blends the graphics and physics of oblivion, with the epicness, immersion, magic, and environmental of morrowind.

I can't wait for Skyrim. I've loved the Elder Scrolls series since Morrowind and Skyrim looks like it's going to be awesome. From the screenshots it also looks like they stopped beating their NPCs with the ugly stick so it will be interesting to see if they keep that up throughout the whole game.

I personally wouldn't want companions though just because I'm OCD about keeping them alive, and it would make the game feel too much like one long escort mission a la Ashley from RE4.

edit: Morrowind is my favorite too and it's probably the most time I've spent on a game continuously (there are some I've spent more cumulative time with.) Oblivion was awesome too, but the magic system was so easy to break. You could summon something, turn invisible, wait for your magicka to recharge, rinse and repeat until everything dies, and beat the whole game doing just that. I did like that you didn't have to switch to a casting mode to cast spells like you did in Morrowind though.

I'm extremely excited for Skyrim and I'm an avid Oblivion player (is it just me or are Wood Elves short compared to the other races.) Only played Morrowind once and loved the magic system to death.

They are. The males are also by far the most annoying npcs in the game. I'm looking at you Adoring Fan.
