i think those who joined within the first week of the forums going up should have a special "veterans" position, they won't have any more power than usual, they just have a position of veteran status.

i think something like a 1000+ post club would make more sense but I don't care for either idea

That just encourages anti social behaviour, sorry but no. Can you also imagine people just posting for the sake of posting and also not going out because they need to reach 1000+ post to get into some club that has no perks.

We would have to make it mean something, so like 3,000 posts or 5,000 posts.

I was thinking about making "Achievements" at some point but that might just encourage spamming etc. I'm thinking about suggesting "forum awards" in which forum 'veterans' you say would obviously have an advantage by the mere fact there more likely to get voted for.

Achievements would be nice. But stuff like, use every font color or something would just get annoying. You know, unlike many achievements where they force you to run around the levels finding small computers. -.-

That's what you say about everything. You'd be writing the Bill of Rights or something and say, "This is a terrible idea that can only end badly".

But it is a terrible idea. Why do you want to be known as a veteran of the forums anyway, to brag about it?

Why we are supposed to be like this you have to convince us like you need it. Also what would be the purpose you get a word or something under your name.

It's pretty hard to convince someone that you need thing kind of thing. But I don't see the forum having a complete break-down because we inplemented achievements.
It wont end badly, certainly. And Unilogical seems more than happy to do the task, so just send him on his merry way and all's well as ends well.
