The Ministry of Propaganda

I've played in all the SC2 tournaments and in the TF2 one as well and have noticed that what is sorely lacking is enough participants. In some cases, we've gotten less as the weeks pass. I would like to be made minister of propaganda whose responsibility is to traverse the bowels of the internet and gather those willing to join in on the tournament as well as spread word of the website and community. I feel that not only can the tournaments grow into something really special, but the fan base for the site could swell in numbers as I spread the word from site to site. Also, separate ministers could be made in other forums as well such as history and politics whose job is to go to related sites and spread the word. This will help add diversity to the site instead of getting the same responses out of the same people. I don't read every single post on these forums but I haven't come across any position like this. In the end, I feel like the community can grow rapidly which will no doubt benefit everyone. The more personalities here, the better.

Also, this felt like the best place to post this so I apologize in advance if its not where it needs to be.

I say go for it, permission isn't needed to spread the word of this site.

Okay sounds cool but you get no fancy color nor powers we just give you a big pat on the back.

The position doesn't need a color or any sort of recognition like that, but it'd be nice if each forum had a designated person to actually spend a decent amount of time "advertising" the site of various other sites. Maybe this thread could be stickied so that we can organize a campaign to do something like that. I know the site grows daily but this could really help it along.

I for one am all for this position, unlike Napoleon I think you should be given your own colour and *certain* permissions so you can better represent the community around teh interwebz. I would also hope if this is brought into action something would be done to make it so other clans can easily contact you without having to dig around the site to set up events.

I for one am against it we already have enough people with colors and powers but it rest in the mods hands and that of our God Emperor Stalin.
And those guys in green cant remember their names must not be important then.

I don't care whether it has a color or not, that's completely unimportant. I honestly don't even know what half the colors on this forum even mean so I guess the last thing we need is another one. Basically, I've observed that people on this site have certain jobs and just thought this sounded like a good idea. Others who post regularly on other history or political science sites who are willing to take time to recommend the site and all its offerings should post here saying they're interested, that would be a good start. Like I said, I'll try and spread the word about the NKVD tournaments. I think people should actually spend some time doing this instead of just making a thread on another site about this one. Look for threads where you can post a link to a similar discussion on this site. Thats the best way to get more people on this site in my opinion.

Stalin can make more mods then, big deal. I always figured the more people on this site and more people watching stalin's videos the better. I wasn't aware anyone would perceive that as bad.

We just gained two mods so we have enough.

Well you have to look at all the possiblities its the internet we dont know who fuck we could bringing in just about an hour ago someone was trying to sell us illegel drugs.

You do bring up a very valid point. That is the reason why I wanted some organization and cohesion with this. I don't want people going to my little pony fansites and bringing that crowd over here (a disease which has already infected these forums and is spreading like a cancer). That's why I thought we could get one or two people from each forum to have the job of going to certain sites and plugging this site in a discreet yet effective manner (read my previous post if you're confused by that). I totally agree with what you're saying though.

Thats kind of the point. I dont want to be in another clan with 10,000 people with varying ages, temperment, and no cohesion. Id rather be in an active, mature, and very organized clan with a lot of events and competition. Last thing I need is to end back in ePeen :/

Because not having any new members will totally help the site, right? It's not like the site growing would be beneficial to our community and to Stalin.

More members=More assholes to deal so many assholes we cant controll it and then the fourm fails then i have to get my undead army and kill all the assholes ( Link included ) just to get the site back to normal.

I dont care if we have new members. I just dont want our ranks to swell will a bunch of pubescent kids who will scream into a mic when things go wrong. I believe I lost my patience for kids in my old clan. :|
