I was waiting for someone to say something like this.

He acted in a few films and is an activist for gay rights. I don't think that compares to developing the first computer, winning world war two and being one of the greatest minds the UK has ever created.
    General Mosh likes this.

Did anyone mention that because of his homosexuality he was forced to undergo a "hormone therapy" that would turn him into a woman. He got depressed, and eventually killed himself by eating a poisoned apple.

He was forced sterilized also. And they watched everything he did. He was more or less a prisoner forced to become a woman.

Why did you quote my post to say that? Are you implying I will die that way or something?:)

Well, you said you wanted to be like him or something along those lines, so I thought I'd mention the way he was treated and died.

It's alright. Posthumous government apologies make everything better.

...I said I was happy to be the guy to post that there is a "better homosexual".

I'm sure there's some woman who was tried as a witch about 100 years age and the government doesn't want to apologise. In fact, there's quite a few silly things like that.

I once heard the government pulled out archaic witch laws during WW2 to imprison a woman because she spoke to openly and could have compromised national security.
