If it were up to me I'd ban outsourcing entirely. If you brought all the manufacturing jobs back to America you could solve unemployment almost overnight.

Your economy lives and breaths on a consumer culture. Without all those factory jobs you still consume 25% of the worlds resources with not even 5% of the worlds population. Like 50% of the united states doesn't even pay income tax because your politians NEED you to spend what little money you have on petty comforts and crap at walmart . If you brought all the jobs back to the states the costs of running them would go up and so would the goods. The demand for these products would drop dramatically in the states and nobody would buy them from the states as it is just overpriced junk at that point. Supply and demand created out sourcing and a globalized economy, it fucks with capitalism if you ban outsourcing.

I am the only one who even partially touched the actual issue, the rest of the responses were narrow and explained nothing either because you guys don't want to actually argue with this guy or you legitimately don't know what you are talking about.

I see no reason a free market system couldn't work in one country. I don't take capitalist standpoints on everything and outsourcing is one of them. When Capitalism begins to interfere with the well being of the state it should be regulated. If you put sensible regulations on things like that instead of how many taxes the wealthy pay you could bring this economy back. The lack of manufacturing is like owning a store that buys everything but never sells anything. Anybody doing that would go bankrupt but that's exactly what America is doing.
