A new thread containing a ballot is up here!

I still think stuff like this does not belong in a serious election, but if that is your view...

Could we shorten the voting time a bit? The poll ends on thursday, my time, which is five days away. Since forum primetime is midnight/early morning for me, it would basically mean I'll have to sit up for four nights in a row, just to argue with people. Would it be possible to have it end at least a day or two earlier? Four/five days seems kind of excessive, anyway.

You don't have to keep arguing with people. But I'll see when the time is there, because I can't really objectively judge what the voting period is going to be like, and if it will be necessary to keep it open.

Alex Tran is the forum outsider who can overhaul the People's Assembly and get the NKVD back to work!

You seem to be doing something wrong.
And more importantly, take it from someone who was there before they were ruined, neither are worth saving, nor is it possible to save either, as these sad state of affairs are caused solely by the general incompetence and autism of the user base.

That would be false. A non serious candidate is not what is needed and will hardly do any good.

Did I miss something? LampRevolt made a speech but there's no option to vote for him.

The Shaw and Lamp revolt have me in their grasp, their identification of issues and promised reparations are similar, however I am unsure they can achieve such outcomes. I would like these guys to be in charge, but who is really the best choice?

I didn't want to vote for someone who has shown their suppourt for Kali multiple times. The Shaw, slydesertfox and GeneralofCarthage are such candidates. ComradeLer is a certainty at this point, so I might as well vote for someone other than him because then my vote will count towards the second tribune member. Of the rest, @LampRevolt has given the biggest and best reasons to vote for him. I hope he makes good on his promises.

Essentially my game plan is to use the green name as a rallying figure head for you unwashed plebs. If modern politics teaches us anything it's that pretty colours and making idols of people are the most powerful forces in the universe.

I'd like to comment on what was brought up earlier about the hate speech rules and state my position.

I really don't care if you feel bad about what someone said. It's their right to state their opinion so long as it isn't based upon your skin colour or ethnicity in my opinion. I admit that my restrictions about race or ethnicity is simply because I despise ignorant people . Other then those exceptions though I maintain the position that in a forum where someone can make fun of you you can make fun of them, and to those that say that makes an uncomfortable forum environment I'd prefer someone say something to my face rather then go back to their chatrooms and talk about how stupid LampRevolt is. That's not a comfortable environment when no one can state their opinion.

    :( No love.

Since this is the discussion thread I would like to state here as well that I support Shaw and Sly.

Shaw because he is not prone to irrational and very annoying drama, and actually cares about the welfare of these forums and your right to say what you will without fear of reprisal here. I feel he would be a good and (fairly) unbiased conduit for what people want around here.

Sly and I don't really see too eye to eye but he's got a good brain between his ears and it is my personal decision that he would be a better tribune then the currents. He's also relentlessly active so he'd be more then able to accomplish his goals given he finds some.

Of course I support myself overall but I voted for Shaw simply because that is who I would want to be paired with, and I feel that if I cannot be elected I should use whatever pull I have to endorse people who I am sure would be loyal to the gamers of this forum.

I as well. But if shaw get's through we can have the peace that Ler won't do anything *too* irrational and get away with it.

I'd also like to point out that Vulcan has changed his views many times and has edited his post to include stolen campaign idea's from the other candidates. This is cute but I'd prefer if a tribune took the time to think about what he'd do as tribune BEFORE he tries to become tribune.

Who the hell are you to have such great antipathy for me that you won't vote for anyone who hasn't expressed hatred for me? I honestly can not remember you at all and cannot think of any instance where you were even involved in a discussion with me. You had nothing to do with anything, and yet you come out of the woodwork to throw ridiculous ad hominem and slander, accusing me of insanity and paranoia. You have a personal grudge against me for no apparent reason, so fuck you too.

On to the factual merits of your post: The Shaw has not expressed support for me, and has explicitly stated this on a number of occasions. I don't even have a platform to support anyways.

The idea that Ler would be and has been a terrible choice for tribune is, believe it or not, not a fantastical statement. There is no reason to vote for the person who has said these things, when you have completely competent alternatives:

Screenshots from my computer are screenshots from my computer. As well, there is no rule that states you cannot post information from the Mod's Corner. Only Tribunes are restricted from releasing information.

Kali, you've already told us that you're leaving. Why are you still around? Why do you even care about Ler? You've already announced your departure. The more you stick around, the more you continue to make yourself appear as a pathetic and whiny kid. You remind me of Soviet. Not to mention that you've decayed to the point of using demotivational posters to antagonize people.

Can't you people just ban him? He's obviously grown attached to the forum and refuses to go away.

I've already stated why I'm here, to see what happens, and if possible, to stop Ler from becoming Tribune.

He's already becoming tribune, he has the most votes already. Your work here is done. Now leave and don't return.
