Hmm. I've been brushing up on Old Blood n' Guts Patton's career and I must say it is impressive. He sure should go near the top spot. One of the coolest things about him is in WWI he directed a squad of tanks. He was one of the first people to use tanks effeciently on a battlefield. Cool guy.

Patton is well known for his love of tanks, almost like a fetish.

If only he didnt die in a car crash. Then he would die a year later anyway but you get the point.

Both of you need to explain why. Carthage needs to explain why he disagrees and RizzE needs to explain why he thinks hes badass.

Kublai khan. The grandson of the great Genghis Borigiin. He won many clear victories against armies much larger than his. He brought down the great Sung empire which commanded a force of more than a million soldiers. He was the first Mongol Commander to use Sun Tzu and other complex tactics in warfare. He also accompanied Tsubodai in the great trek into Europe, the trek that only ended when the khan died.

Agree with you, but just a correction, Genghis Khan's actual name is Borjigin Temudjin.

I did not know that. I particularly loved the story about how Kublai used goat skin rafts to surprise and surround the Sung army on the other side of the river.

I dont have a top general but i can give you my top five in no particular order. Rommel, Moltke, Napoleon, Hannibal, and finally Lee. Thats my opinion I'll have a fun argument if you think otherwise.
