Hopefully they get smashed for it. Obama is a shoe-in at this point but evicting the Republican House majority is an essential component to actually getting something done when he's in office.

Obama is pathetic. He only steps up to the plate in election season. The guy has been more republican than democrat. He's a disgrace.

That's nonsense, Obama has tried to compromise in order to get things done, but has been stonewalled by the Republicans. He's been more than competent while in office and certainly is better than any alternatives.

I think one of the primary things we need to do is cut back a bit on military spending and put more pressure on the one percent, i also think the welfare situation has gotten way to far out of hand and it needs an re structure.

It might be a good bill, but i doubt the GOP will let it pass.

Yes because stone-walling Republicans stopped Obama pushing his veto on Palestine; they forced him to veto the condemnation of Israeli settlement building; they stopped him pushing the public option through; they stopped him from tough banking regulation; they stopped him from withdrawing troops from Afghanistan (he sent in another 30k of soldiers); they stopped him from closing Guantanamo. He HAD to extend the Bush tax cuts. He had to not raise taxes on the rich. To be fair he only had two years to do it. And now the guy is demonstrably weak in standing up to the Republicans, preferring to do what they want rather than fight them politically - even though the American people would agree with him. He's either a coward or a Republican sympathiser.

They are stalling now, but what about right after his election? He had a madate to, more or less, do whatever the hell he wanted.

Well the Majority of the time the republican party stonewalls any sort of plan or bill that Obama wants to get into office. Tough persoanly i don't see why given to the fact there all bowing to there corporate elite masters.

I don't see what you're trying to point out. That's a large majority in-favor of the bill.

I think he's trying to point out that more than 1% oppose the bill.

Oh, well that's Fox News level criticism right there. The fact of the matter is that a hefty majority supported it.

If a republican came out with the same act they would consider it to be awesome, with this one there like "no it sucks and no one likes it" when its clear more then a majority do.

I like the plan, I'd just like to see it stretched out so the deficit spending is at a minimum.

Glad to see the house GOP has their priorities straight. Jobs bill: no, this bullshit: PRIORITY ONE. Also, lol at the idea that "In God We Trust" is what this country was founded upon, when that motto was something Eisenhower threw in 55 years ago to differentiate us from those godless commies.
