    It's a web design tool used almost exclusively to steal ideas from websites you like. Not sure if you can on that version of IE, but in the older ones you could even insert your own HTML and debug it to check for errors using an existing site.

    If you copy paste all of the HTML you see in that tab and paste it into notepad and then save the file as a .html you can open it up as a local internet page using your browser.

    You know this actually happened to me yesterday. No idea what I pressed, but I just exed out of the window and went about my business. I miss firefox, google chrome is really buggy for me.

    If it's a streaming video then it won't work because streaming videos rely on data that doesn't exist in the base code of the webpage.
