Alot of my posts are missing, alot of very thought out and very detailed posts, not detailed in the sense of wanting physical harm to another, but detailed on topic of what the OP has written...

I know for a fact, that the forums do not just lose certain posts randomly, if a thread loses posts, it loses alot more than mine.

    Who did it?

I'd be damned if Dial Up was the cause, but I doubt it, whenever I post it gives me the "Message has been posted" screen and even let's me read it and edit it.

Yeah there were a few posts I deleted because they didn't meet Coffeehouse posting rules.

Dial up probably. Or Kal went bonkers and deleted half your posts.

Yes, he did, and either Observer lied, or someone took it off the logs.

Kali is also not telling me why they didn't meet Coffeehouse regulations, although I am pretty sure they did, one of the posts he deleted was a 2 paragraph long answer to Shaw's post about how you know whether or not you're sleeping right now.

Can somone give me a sit-rep of the decisions to delete these posts in detail?

I know I've defended mods here on the forums against other poster's saying that you guys are corrupt, but now some of you are giving me reason to believe otherwise.

I didn't delete them so I don't know the content of the posts however the ones that I did check were all in the Coffee House so I assume that Kal felt that they did not adhere to the Coffee House posting guidelines.
Edit- Which he says a few posts above so nevermind.

I'd still like to hear reason as to why, because alot of my posts in these past months could therefore have been deleted asell, but haven't.

As well as many, MANY off-topic and derailing/insulting posts.

They were deleted for either not beginning with a capital letter, not ending with an ending punctuation, or including an emoticon in the first line. From what I remember they were all deleted due to the first reason.

As to why some posts don't get deleted it's due to the way the rule works. If you violate the standard, then you are subject to deletion by the staff. If I were to try and completely regulate every post in the Coffeehouse then that's ALL I would be doing. But glaring examples of incompetence that I come across are deleted.

So he can write a 2 paragraph post and get it deleted because it did not start with a capital letter? I call shenanigens.

Typically I grant leeway to posts that only messed up a tiny bit, but again, any post that doesn't meet the requirements is subject to deletion. It's really very simple to write one legible sentence.

Exactly! why should they just be removed! just fix them, if you have the time to delete, you have the time to fix, or PM me about it.
Don't delete sincere posts on tiny grammatical errors!
    "Glaring examples of incompetance"
If you mean, the most descrptive post, than you are not watching the posts very well.
Also, for the 'first reason' I am pretty damned sure that I capitalized every starting letter, if not, I had fixed it later, as I always re-read my posts, every last one, Kali.
Other than that, there is no reason to delete, just fix.

People come to forums to ask questions and receive the best answers possible, if you are removing those answers you are making this forum a real shit one.

I used to fix posts, but this would be unfeasible for two reasons:
    1. Ethical issues; I would have to decide what you're saying for you.
    2. Time issues; it would consume a lot more time than simply pruning topics via the MCP.

As for PMing people, no, I don't and never will do that because it defeats the purpose of the rule. People are expected to conform to a basic standard or forfeit any right to have their post viewed. If I were to PM everyone about their God-awful grammar every time I would instead have deleted their post, then the forums would shut down over PM traffic volume.

Don't make horrible grammatical errors in sincere posts. The solution to the problem can't come from me, it has to come from you lot.

What do you even mean? I don't judge posts for content or character, as that would induce massive bias and inequality into the system, no matter how impartial I think I am. All invalid posts are equally subject to deletion.

As I use a mechanically sound method of deleting improper posts (pruning via MCP) it is impossible for me to make a mistake. Any post which doesn't begin with a capital letter is automatically checked, then I go back and check for ending punctuation via the same mechanical method and lastly just look for emoticons on the first line. It's not actually possible for a post to be deleted for this rule violation if it doesn't actually violate the rule.

It is your job to fix posts and make them appropriate before submitting them to the forum. It is my job to enforce the rules.

People come to the forums for all kinds of reasons, and they are all equally subject to all rules, including the Coffeehouse posting rules. The only reason a post will get deleted is if it breaks the rules, so it can be avoided 100% of the time if the user actually pays attention to the rules.

I honestly don't think you should be deleting posts for threads that need serious answers, after all of the thought put into it, it is really defeating the purpose for me even being on these forums.
Again, you're making a website, built for strategy gamers to communicate with one another, and possibly the only means of communicatin for these types of games for some people, a real shit place to be.

Well this is only in place for the Coffee House. All of the game sections are free of this.

It's really easy to solve. Start your sentences with capital letters, end them with ending punctuation, and never put emoticons on the first line. There are plenty of members who I've never deleted posts from because they always follow those incredibly simple rules.

The website doesn't have a stated purpose, nor do the forums. And the only posts that can be deleted are in the Coffeehouse (i.e. Political, Historical, Philosophical, and Debate forums), so your argument doesn't make any sense even if that were the truth.

The consequences for these are being enforced too harshly to posts that are so sincere, you're not leaving me any chance to correct them, and I can't even find the god-damned thread to re-post "correctly" anymore.

if you're letting yourself come to the conclusion that you can say the same damned thing over and over agin, there is no reason for you or me to argue about this anymore.
