yea was that is the only thing i give saving private ryan credit for is they do do that open 15 to 20 mins very well and done quite relisticlly.

the only reason anyone ever made it of omaha and were able to hold the highground was coz of the rangers reserve units from Point Du Hoc who landed at omaha becouse a miss communication was sent and they thought everyone on the point had been killed. Omaha was also made worse the fact that the tanks were relised from the boats to early and they sank to the bottom of the sea.

You could make an argument that Great Britain had the most important part. But yea Russia played the largest

I suppose both britian and Russia were very important if not equally important it was deffinitly close. I mean britian beat the german airforce and russia beat german army and if eather country had fallen imagin the drastic drop in morale the rest of the allies would have resived

Well, if Britain fell, America wouldn't have been able to invade. At-best, Germany would have been able to force a cease-fire against Russia, but that's only if there was no Western front.

If you read the book of band of brothers you actully read about the very first american ship to get to the uk and the british navy came out to great it. But the americans thought they'd show of and go right across the front of a british ship. But they didn't realise how fast the brits were and the brits cut there ship in half.

that film is so fuckin bad! no one has a russian accent except the guy who plays zuhkov and he just commpletly abandons it half way through the movie. Plus if you read the book you will just want to blow you brains out ever time you see the film coz the book are all different stories from stalingrad and the sniper one is 4 pages and its the worst story out of them all!

It's a really good movie, I think it shows better that the americans weren't the only ones suffering from the war.

It realy shows that not all the Japanese (just mostly the higher ups) were imperialistic douchebags. It shows that regular Japanese soldiers were not all that supportive of what they were fighting for
