No it isn't that it will just get too damn cold unless they some how manage to squeeze everyone into Tim Hortons.

Interesting link from the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-15343574

There's so many agendas out there that help get more people into the cause. Consequently, it dissipates the movement at the same time because there's so many agendas. The internet is one of the reasons. Nice little compare and contrast with the Egyptian Revolution too.

Occupy Toronto doesn`t look promising, looks like our governments infact do know that it is dissipating itself and is taking advantage of that by doing pretty much the bare minimum to quell it

Well it would probably have a larger turn out if it was warmer.

I am finally going to weigh in on this stuff now that the Libyan war is not in its final stages with the death of the motherfucker.

    1. I find it rediculous how people dont know the meaning of facism and accuse teh popo of being teh facists OMG LOLOLO whenever they enforce the law. If this was Libya 8 months ago, they would get a mouthfull of AK 47's with a side of Jets dropping bombs on your head.

    2. I appreciate the fact that they are showing the gaping problems with our system and keeping people accountable once again.

    3. Despite this, I do not see clear alternatives for the problems of unemployment and poverty comming from the protests.

    4. The police, despite what I said, show a clear biass against these protests over tee party protests.

    Gaddafi is dead?

This is true, you can see the mighty difference to the protests in America than in Libya. Still, the New York Police Department has been outrageous at times, especially trying dirty tactics to evict the protesters away from Wall Street. The protesters have every right to protest because i believe it say it in the Constitution, but Mayor Bloomberg was trying all his best though to stop the protests at Wall Street; keeping in mind that his part of the 1%.

    I agree with this.

The protesters want to see a Democratic change in the system. It's Wall Street and the corporations that caused many people to catapult into poverty and unemployment, so certainly they need to be hold accountable. If there is Democratic change within the system, then hopefully the unemployment will start to swell down and people will start to have a life again just before the 2008 economic crash. All round, everyone is trying to send a message out to the governments of the world to start serving the people and not the 1% that already have a fuck ton of wealth.

What are you saying, that the police force is clamping down on the normal protesters than those that are part of the Tea party movement?

In response to 3 and 4, for 3 their demand is not a concrete idea. Democratic change occurs all the time, but what reforms do they specifically want to enact? The tea party, although I am a strong opponent of them, at least has a concrete plan. As for 4, the police like the wall street movements as a place to target over the tea party it seems.

Earlier today, AEST, Police attacked 'Occupy Melbourne'. I had two family members down there just Yesterday, and combined with their word, and video footage/pictures they took for me, I can confirm the occupation was completely peaceful. The dispersing of the protest is physically illegal on the behalf of the Police, as the protestors broke NO laws.

So do I. It seems like a good example of peaceful protest (aka the dude is making them carry him), but it doesn't look like he's being beaten or anything. But from the people who called a paper cut police brutality, it doesn't surprise me that you might have overreacted. Also, just because a protest is peaceful, does not mean that they can't break it up. Sometimes, licenses or some such measure are required, and if the protest disrupts commerce or traffic, the protest is allowed to be broken up.

    He's being choked.
Also, that is just one picture I picked up quickly. There are tens of pictures of bloodied people, people being punched, choked, and dragged off in ways that could easily lead to dislocation.

I know at least one Aboriginal protestor is in Intensive care. Can't say much more than that, though.

I'll see if I can find you guys a gallery..

Doesn't Australia have a reputation for having a brutal police force?

Or am I thinking of something else :?
