Actually, only a minority in Britain are homophobic and racist. AND they tend to get the shit kicked out of them by Asians. Which I love to see. Also the main was to point it out about Lybia, I seriously doubt that if you two sat down in a room you would have much to talk about.

Islamism isn't necessarily evil. It just tends to be the agenda of the most ultra-conservative factions in countries with high Muslim populations. It seeks to implement sharia law and go beyond that and convert all aspects of government to what some see as an ideal Muslim government. This tends to conflict with Western policy and values, as sharia law and other Islamist structures have a very strict view of the word "freedom."

Personally I think that secular governments tend to work out much better than Islamist ones; I can't think of a secular government in the Middle East that hasn't led to better conditions for its people than an Islamist one.

In any case, I've noticed a bit of confusion about the term. A Muslim is a person following the religion of Islam. An Islamist is a person who supports the particular form of government characterized by a sharia law system and strict interpretation of various Islamic holy texts for the purpose of formulating policy.

Notable Islamist countries, or countries with strong Islamist influences are:
    Iran - Theocratic Republic
Pakistan - Has recently come under fire for its blasphemy laws, which are punishable by death
Turkey - Since the AKP came to power, the previously dominant secular forces of the Turkish military and courts have been neutered in favor of the legislature, who recently passed a highly Islamist amendment to the Turkish constitution

No, a socialist country is a place like Cuba or Venezuela(well its in the process). There you dont have a de facto monarchy and cultist state.

@pedro Castro publicly apologized for his prosuction of gays.

You showed a picture of a flag, man you deserve like a million subscribers or something... Disregard hundreds of people protesting against France and America.

If you people truly cared about the people of Libya you would let the people of Libya have what they want, which is Gaddafi.

Could you get me specific statistical figures showing me how many Libyans support Gaddafi (Not including those who just are not liberated yet) vs the rebels.

Do you? The fact of the matter is the majority of the population is not "liberated" as you people like to say it, even in areas without strong military control.

Does any one else get the feeling that it doesn't matter who wins this war? Vary rarely does a revolution not get taken over by some form of extremist. I think a blood thirsty tyrant is going to be in power regardless.

Gaddafi would have won without French and American intervention, the rebels were being pushed back by the majority of the population that is in support of the Socialist regime. And the supporters will still fight till the last drop of blood.

    Fixed.

Also how do you know in the unliberated citys, 100% of the population is in favor?

Hitler would have won WWII if it wasn't for Soviet and American intervention. "The Allies were being pushed back by the majority of the population that is in support of the Fascist regime."

As a quote went, "War doesn't decide who is right, only who is left."

Saying you might have won doesn't mean you were right, especially when your using uncertain grounds to say that the majority of the population agrees with you.

Oh, and don't say I don't have any figures to say your wrong either. I'm not the one making numerical assumptions about Libya's people.

    Edit: Fixed [x2]

Death To American Imperialism! Death To NATO!

America is toning down its role as we speak, and the Kleptocrats are only holding out because Gaddafi has enough oil money to buy Sub-Saharan soldiers to fight for him.

What little Gaddafi supports are there are being blown up simply because people are surprised anyone would support that psychopath.
