"Big Society" is a Conservative program which was adopted in 2010 by David Cameron. It's initials goals is to give all the citizens control of their communities, and not controlled by the government, politicians, etc. The plans include setting up a Big Society Bank and introducing a national citizen service. Basically it's trying to get more people together in the communities to showcase new ideas, set up free enterprises, charities, etc I believe this idea will fail, and it will turn out to be meaningless. I personally think the central government should take care of the communities for now. It could turn into an utter disaster. It's sound collective though, getting more amongst people, and helping them out in the community. At the end of the day, it's David Cameron adopting this program, no one else. Anyone from the UK. Give me your verdict over the "Big Society"?
It is still a new policy, but I am pretty sure it won't work... but you never no with British politics.
