Can't Japanese be written in the same directions as the Latin alphabet as well?

I think so, I've played a little bit of the Pokemon games in Japanese, and it's from right to left like in Latin, but I think in older scriptures, you see it written from top to bottom and left to right (and books are still read right to left).

Spanish and Italian sound too whiny? Hate using memes but... u mad bro? No other languages flow as good as though two do. Also, Spanish is the most widly spoking language on the planet (i.e. spoking in more places)

Not that I have the slightest clue what all that means but the French language changes so much depending on what the sentence means. Also, auxillary verbs used to piss me off. Don't study it any more, much prefer to speak Spanish.

I don't know what it is, I probably used the wrong word for it, I can't really put my finger on it, really. And I'm not trying to be a dick here, but I never said it sounded too whiny, just whiny. But, as I said, I used the wrong word and can't really put my finger on it.

And with most widely spoken, what do you mean exactly? Mother language of the most countries, or land area or something?

Genders are a bitch in languages. French still has them, though.

Also, how did we get from ancient history to discussing languages?

Have you ever heard a Spanish or Italian guy talk? It sounds angrier than German. Last I heard, Mandarin was the most spoken language on the planet. Have you ever wondered why so many foreign bands speak English? It's because English flows well. French also flows well. I've learned French for 5 years and I still don't know how to speak French outside of "omelette du fromage".

You should probably focus on English more than other languages.

Sorry to say but I agree with on that Spanish sounds whiny. And of course you have more difficulties learning french than German or Spanish, simply because English originates from the saxons, who were a germanic tribe, so you can see that some words in german are pretty close to english, and Spanish is easy simply for the fact that it originates from Latin, which is not the easiest language to learn, but it's still easy compared to French. I myself don't speak spanish well, but I understando it easily because 50% of the spanish words are roughly the same in portuguese.
And Spanish isn't the most used language in the world, that's english, it can be the most spokEN in Latin America, but not the world. There's a reason why we all speak in English on these forums and not Spanish.

Yeah, I've pretty much the same problem with French: I can't remember all those words and their meanings... And how to say to this or that... And although German has a more complicated grammar... At least I can at least understand quite a bit of it...

    Edit:
And English doesn't sound like this anymore...

Mandarin is getting more and more important in world due to China's economic growth. I don't think it can replace English anytime soon. And as a native Cantonese speaker... Mandarin sounds awful to me... It sounds like those people can't properly use their mouth...

His point was that people prefer to speak it, not that more people actually do speak it.

It's because English is an international language and everyone speaks it as opposed to Mandarin. You'd prefer to listen to music you can actually understand.

The funny thing about "omelette du fromage" is that its grammatically incorrect. It's supposed to "omelette au fromage".

People seem to forget the Mandarin is spoken in one country and that the majority of Chinese seem to want to learn English whereas the English speaking population of the planet seem to detest the thought of learing a language let alone the learning of a foreign one, also isn't French the language of Europe? Seems fairly important to me.

I think German is more important in Europe than French. But what do you exactly mean with "the language of Europe"?

I assumed it was the reference to the question "Of what European country is Budapest the capital of?", which was answered by some dumb blonde with "I thought Europe was a country...don't they speak French there?"

Are you forgetting that China supplies the word with all of it's goods? Somebody has to talk to the Chinese to get them to give them the goods. Basic shit. People who natively speak English are naturally arrogant and lazy. French isn't all that important, German is more important than French.

What's French for outside of Europe? Quebec? lol

German is still important. There's a lot of hugely wealthy German companies out there.
