If you want me to seriously consider your posts, you have to speak more coherently. That's not meant as a slight towards you, though how do I know you're already going to take it as such, but it's the point I don't even understand what the hell you're saying.

Also it's great you play games with Link, last I checked you never really got to know me or even wanted to. Just wanted to hastily caste judgment because I attacked your knight in shining armor.

    Get over yourself.

No you are the one who caste judgment onto me first. After i corrected you in a thread you went on and on how i was unfit to be a mod, how you should have the right to block me and what did you do after you were told no? You cry and ran away yelling how sorry we would all be you were leaving.

Then what? you came back to see how much we missed you? found no one even knew you or care? I am guessing that was it.

you are the one who needs to get over yourself.

You know, I was actually trying to have a conversation about the topic.

I left and said how everyone would miss me? News to me. My issue was when Stalin openly defended you when we were arguing, the comments he made were biased and it showed. Last I checked many agreed with me, including Pedro, not like it matters now.

The fact every single thing I open or discuss comes back to that incident shows you're the one who hasn't left it behind, not me. Notice I didn't talk about the incident once, you have so you can simply dismiss the points I made for fear of people actually having an honest discourse about it.

Also nice "NO U" at the end there, well done.

You weren't specific enough. Tell me why you feel I'm wrong and why you think you're right.

I was going to get there. I just thought I'd start off by stating my opinion. I genuinely enjoy watching his let's plays, and the things you mention don't seem that prevalent to me.

Well what would you have him talk about, I mean he has to find something to talk about correct? But to be honest I enjoy his let's plays alot when I find the time to watch them.

Eh, Stalin's videos are kind of meh. I mean I like the first few parts of a new series like Mass Effect but then after like 5 hours of content from it I'm kind of warn out. I mean each part is ~45 minute and there can be up to 4 parts per sitting.

I think a lot of the problem is just the gameplay becoming mundane. Like CKII we're all just there to see Stalin's dynasty play out and watch a few wars but in order to do that we end up taking in hours of him waiting for that shit to happen. It's like reading a book when the entire point of it could be summed up in less than a paragraph. The majority is just fluff.

I find it's more interesting to play the game itself. And no, I'm not saying Stalin's a bad LPer. Certainly he's better than most every one of them, but we need action. Like that Walking Dead game, that's epic. Shit is going down everywhere and you don't know what's going to happen next. Phoenix Wright was like that too, though I really think Stalin should've gone for the voice actors thing more aggressively. And by that I mean actually do it.

Anyway, there should always be action. Believe it or not the MW3 LP was probably my favorite because shit was always happening, if not in game then in Stalin's drunken ramblings. It was awesome.

MW3 LP was obviously the best LP to ever happen since Stalin vs the martians.

The reason Why Stalin does that shit is because he doesn't enjoy the game, or there is little room to commentate and games like crusader kings and grand strategy games offer little commentary room. So Stalin improvised, and I enjoy it, but sometimes it gets redundant which is why I enjoy when he does new games where his commentary is fresh and new. In all honesty if you don't like the way stalin is going with his commentary then your welcome to not watch the videos.

That's a nice opinion, but why exactly isn't that the case at all?

I disagree Egypt, Kara and Rom summed it up, but basically all the grand strategy games are downtime so what is he going to talk about? In me3 he's really playing off a character that's been built up for 2-3 years so it's not like he's going to change that. I'm a bit puzzled why he doesn't emphasize more with the Prothean guy, but still. Most of us have played all these games, so it's not like I need Stalin to tell me to do something I read on the me3 wiki and then did myself in game 2 months ago. Almost every major commentator talks 90% about life and usually less then 10/5% about the actual gameplay, and as long as they have interesting things to say, I don't mind.

Stalin seems to have less direction/purpose with his commentary with some of his LPs. With some LPs (Walking Dead, Heavy Rain, Pheonix Wright) the gameplay and Stalin's reactions are enough, but for games with slower or more repetitive gameplay (ME3, CKII, Shogun II), I think Stalin should talk more. It doesn't matter what he talks about - the game, his life, ambitions, current events - people will listen and enjoy it.
Yeah, because endless arguments, slander, and telling people to leave the site do a lot to move it forward.

Yeah, fuck free speech! Fuck discourse! Not like the only utility of this website is communication, or anything.
Uh, look at the thread. The only ones telling someone "like it or leave" are the mods and their horde of pubescent fanboys.

In truth, this applies to LPs in general these days. They just start to ware down on you after you've watched so many.

I watch plenty of people that still don't bore me after plenty of time. What I generally do is with LPs where the commentary is more interesting than the gameplay s do something else while listening to the commentary and switching to watch when something interesting happens. It works, and I get more stuff done. So yay.

I do this too. I've played every part of the CKII LP but I have actually seen a few hours.
