I am happy to be a Conservative Republican, however I get a little wishy washy on social issues.

On some issues yes. I am for Gay Marriage so long as its a state that is voting on it. Same thing with Marijuana.

Well at least you don't hold some irrational hatred for gay marriage and all that. Sadly there are a lot who do.

Interestingly enough, while most of the Republican Party is against gay marriage, they will not ban homosexual relationships.

Well if they did that, then all the gay rights types would have a legitimate complaint.

Banning homosexual relationships is a far worse and larger step than being against gay marriage and undoubtedly goes against the rights of said individuals. The state has no right telling people who they can and can't have sex with as long as both are legally consenting. If we ever did go that far the country would be going down an ice covered road straight down the side of dystopia mountain.

Its right for it to be legal in Colorado if they vote on it & the majority says they want it. If Maine votes on it & the majority rules they don't want it then don't legalize it.

Give the people what they want.

I consider myself a Dem, but at times, the line between parties do fade, and at other times, I despise both parties. And at other times, I just hate certain leaders of parties.

you do not get what I am saying. Why should it matter of where it is. If you are for it then your for it. If your against it then your against it.

What General Conservative is saying makes sense even if I am against it (I believe it should be legal everywhere, period). He just doesn't believe it should be forced on states if the majority of those states do not want it and that if they do want it they should have it, regardless of his personal opinion on it.
