That is what he fell back on, that's all he ever falls back on. I called him out on it because it's an uninspired and intellectually lazy statement of the obvious and he's been parroting it since his promotion. (Along with other nonsense of either the same or a lesser nature.)

I feel that opinions should be voiced but I would refer if they were more on the helpful input end of "Anti-Forum".

I think for the most part there is not a huge issue, there is still freedom within the coffee houses to spew your belief however nonsensical (provided the post is of a reasonable quality) so that is the main thing for me. In terms of the "your opinion doesn't matter mlarkey" I suppose it doesn't since the reforms don't come from the staff, we didn't vote on it & as such unless your going to petition William there really is no point discussing it because it's not up for discussion. Which I believe he said.

In terms of the reforms I find that a small minority have ruined it for the majority so it is in your interest rather than to side with a person or persons to actually call them out for the way they choose to conduct themselves. If it seems I have been one sided that's simply because I find that some people shout louder than others & as such get more attention.

This place isn't a democracy, it has never been one, it is a private entity which imposes it's own rules which you are obliged to follow. Free speech as a legal concept is important to me but that doesn't mean I'm not going to kick someone out of my house for insulting me or my family or friends. If you don't like it the same with any institution you can either a) petition a change which will probably achieve nothing or b) leave. c) accept it. In terms of my position on the reforms, I am indifferent, but my opinion is irrelevant anyway. So more specifically in terms of this thread, as we've already seen a thread was locked today & expect to see more of the same, my advise is to go to the other forums and start posting some good quality posts & don't worry about pointless bullshit that doesn't matter anyway.
