Haven't you watched Spence's LP? It's basically: You are some person getting thrown in jail, and on the moment they should execute you, a dragon comes and you kill it. They find out you are the dragonborn, some fighter which can absorb a dragon's soul, and gain an ability.

Yeah, I got that much (I find the prison thing in the series quite ridiculous, especially since you end up being the leader of just about every damn organisation there is), but the story behind that.

This is the story line as seen through a telescope and fog cover.

That's just about all I know. I haven't really played the Elder Scroll series.

You should definitely invest. I still think the best one is morrowind but skyrim takes a respectable second.

(I've put around 100 hours into skyrim and can't be sure since i played morrowind mostly with a crack but around 300-400 hours of morrowind. )

I played Oblivion, but I hated it. I tried it three or four times, and I always ended up frustrated and uninstalling it.

I'm quite ashamed, but the chances of me being able to play the games on this computer are slim...

Do you find it a bad game, or is it just hard?

I'll put it in spoiler tags, for those who don't want to...well, be spoiled.

I don't know, it's just so...random. You're minding your own business in your prison (noone knows what the hell you did to end up there anyway) and BAM the fucking emperor walks in, says he had dreams about you and you can suddenly go.

Later, still early on, you go to some Oblivion gate (whatever the hell that is, again, there's hardly any explanation, once again) where you're supposed to find some dudes or something. I'm hardly given any good motives for what I'm doing (something about the succession), unlike in the Fallout games. It was hell. Literally and figuratively. You can only slowly crawl forward, as you heal pretty slowly, and your Magicka doesn't regain very fast either. The random small daemons that for some reason come from everywhere don't do a hell of a lot of damage, but they're still annoying to get rid of.

Horseback riding was terrible, and seeing as your companions apparently can't follow you, you can't fight from horseback and fast travel is available anyway it's pretty useless as well.

It also doesn't help that in the beginning tutorial dungeon, I was randomly handed notes and letters by invisible people (I was quite obviously alone) for all the DLC sidequests.

At least the inventory interface doesn't look as shitty and boring as it does in Skyrim, though.

So, you can pretty easily tell I'm a much bigger fan of Fallout 3 and New Vegas, although Skyrim does look very good.
